Jo is a qualified Social Worker with 26 years’ experience as a Children and Families Practitioner, Educator/Trainer and Operational and Strategic Manager. Jo’s experience extends to the design and delivery of Step Up to Social Work Programmes and academic research. Jo has extensive experience of managing operational frontline services across the continuum of need as a Team Manager, Service and Strategic Manager. Her notable skills, experience and knowledge is around court practices and permanency planning. Jo has demonstrated an ability to improve outcomes for children and their families through change management, she has experience in the design and implementation of service restructures within local authorities and performance improvement by motivating and leading teams through the implementing of a performance management culture within services. Jo has experience of leading services through OFSTED inspections. Latterly, Jo has utilised her considerable knowledge, skills and experience to train social care professionals and provide consultancy service to local authorities.
